The SUNS will take an unchanged lineup into Saturday’s blockbuster QClash Semi-Final at the Gabba.

Damien Hardwick has named the same 23-player team that downed the Dockers by a point last Saturday in search of the SUNS’ first Preliminary Final berth, and first win over the Lions at the Gabba since 2018.

David Swallow will play a club record 249th AFL game with the entire squad now having finals experience under their belt. Daniel Rioli and John Noble are the most experienced among the squad, with 14 finals and eight finals respectively.

Ben King (253 career goals) is contention to make SUNS history as he currently sits a single goal shy of Tom Lynch’s all-time SUNS goalkicking record.

Gold Coast won the last meeting between the sides by a record 66 points just a matter of weeks ago, but haven’t tasted QClash success on enemy territory since 2018. Jarrod Witts, Touk Miller, Ben Ainsworth, Lachie Weller, Brayden Fiorini and Swallow are the remaining players in the lineup who featured in that last Gabba victory.

Those travelling to the match are encouraged to take advantage of free transport (with a valid match ticket) on all regular network-wide Brisbane City Council buses and Citytrains (excluding Brisbane City Council Ferries and Airtrain services). Free travel begins four hours before and concludes four hours after the event.

SUNS fans are encouraged to head to the Pineapple Hotel for a pre-match catch-up from 2pm before walking to the ground from 6pm. Gold Coasters remaining on the coast can enjoy all the action live on the big screen at the top of Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise.

All AFL Finals action is live on the 7 network, Fox Footy and Kayo.
