It's time to select your Kool Beanz SUNS Player of the Round from Sunday's defeat against the Crows.

Meara Girvan was a woman on a mission, thwarting attack after attack with an incredible seven intercept possessions in the third quarter alone. She finished with 16 for the match, marshalling a SUNS defence alongside Georgia Clayden (15 disposals, seven tackles) who kept the Crows scoreless in that third term.

Girvan was the only SUN to have more of the ball than Charlie Rowbottom, who also laid more tackles than any other player in a trademark performance. Her 30 disposals and 12 tackles also came with a first goal of the season for the 22-year-old.

Jamie Stanton’s 74 games of experience shone through regularly with a crafty performance inside forward 50 highlighted by two goals, but the highlight of the day came off the boot of Havana Harris with a Goal of the Year contender in the second term.

Niamh McLaughlin overcame a slow start to be a pivotal ball winner across half-back (30 disposals) while Claudia Whitfort (23 disposals) and Lily Mithen (20 disposals, 10 contested possessions) were also strong in midfield.
