Young SUNS star Bailey Humphrey has been recognised as the People First Bank Emerging Player of the Year at the 2025 Gold Coast SUNS Club Champion. 

The third year-talent went to work quietly in the off-season before featuring in a career-high 23 games in 2025, averaging 15.4 disposals, 4.1 tackles and a goal per game in his finest season to date.

The young SUN played a key part in unlocking new heights for the SUNS, also earning his first Brownlow Medal votes with 18 disposals and four goals earning him two votes in the Round 7 win against Sydney.

Playing a hybrid role between the forward line and midfield, Humphrey kicked multiple goals on seven occasions, including three in the first half of the club’s maiden Elimination Final against Fremantle.

Previous recipients include Mac Andrew (2024), Sam Flanders (2023), Noah Anderson (2020 & 2022), Charlie Ballard (2019) and Alex Sexton (2018).
