Koby Coulson has claimed StreetSmarts Male Academy Player of the Year at the 2025 Gold Coast SUNS Club Champion.

The Under 18 All Australian impressed across several competitions including the Coates Talent League and VFL in 2025, also recording two best-on performances for the Allies in the 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships.

In four Coates Talent League matches, Coulson averaged 29 disposals, 4.8 marks and 5.8 inside 50s as the SUNS went undefeated.

The Broadbeach Cats product also featured in six of the Gold Coast SUNS VFL games this season, doing his 2025 AFL Draft prospects no harm in Round 21 with 26 disposals, five tackles and a goal.

He is one of five StreetSmarts SUNS Academy players invited to next week’s Telstra AFL Draft national combine in Melbourne.

Previous male winners of the award include Leo Lombard (2024), Jed Walter (2023), Bodhi Uwland (2021) and Connor Budarick (2019).
