Nick Malceski has informed the club that he will be relocating to Sydney with his young family to take up the position of VFL Head Coach.

Malceski has spent the past two seasons as development coach with the SUNS, working closely with the club’s young defenders.

After moving from the Swans at the end of the 2014 season, Malceski spent eleven seasons on the Coast including two stints with the SUNS totalling eight years.

“I’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone involved in the Gold Coast SUNS, throughout my journey with the club since 2014,” Malceski said

"When moving to the Gold Coast, I could never have imagined the opportunities that have been provided to me and my family firstly as a player and since as a coach, and to see how far we have come and the position the club is in now, fills me with great pride."

General Manager of Player Talent and Strategy Craig Cameron recognised Malceski and his family for their contribution to our football club.

“I’d like to thank Nick for his significant contribution to our football club both on and off the field over the past decade. We wish Nick, Laura, Harrison and Anae all the best for their next adventure in Sydney."

The club will begin to work through a process of fulfilling the role vacated by Malceski ahead of the commencement of pre-season training in November.
