The Gold Coast SUNS are thrilled to welcome proudly Australian brand PILLAR Performance as the club’s new Official Sports Nutrition Partner.

Founded by former professional rugby player Damien Fitzpatrick and informed by Head of Research Dr Dan Plews, PILLAR Performance is Australia’s leading range of clinically formulated sports performance health products.

PILLAR works alongside industry-leading sports scientists and dietitians to deliver evidence-led micronutrition solutions that support training output, recovery, consistency, and long-term health.

As part of the partnership, PILLAR Performance will work closely with the SUNS’ dietitians and high-performance staff to optimise nutrition and supplementation strategies across both the club’s AFL and AFLW programs, supporting players throughout the demands of the season.

PILLAR Performance Founder and CEO Damien Fitzpatrick said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to high performance and doing the fundamentals exceptionally well.

“We’re proud to be partnering with the Gold Coast SUNS and playing a key role in the club’s high-performance programs,” Fitzpatrick said.

“This partnership is more than just product. We are making a commitment to the players that we will always strive for the highest standards because we want to match what they’re doing on the field every day.

“At PILLAR we are very passionate about becoming a destination for both elite athletes and modern health consumers and our commitment is simple. We will never compromise on product quality to ensure all can perform at their best today, and protect their long-term health tomorrow.

The new partnership has also seen the introduction of the PILLAR Nutrition Pod at the Austworld Centre, housing a wide range of PILLAR’s premium products inside SUNS headquarters.

“We have a really unique set of conditions here on the Gold Coast, and we also wanted to work with a brand that aligns with our values as a football club,” Gold Coast SUNS High Performance Manager Alex Rigby said.

“PILLAR’s approach to performance health aligns with what we want to be providing in terms of nutritional and recovery support to our entire squad.

“The individualisation and the tailoring of support is a real strength of PILLAR and we’re excited to be partnering with them heading into the 2026 season."
