Gold Coast SUNS midfielder Christian Petracca will be unavailable in the medium term with a hamstring sustained during yesterday’s win against Richmond at the MCG.
Petracca left the field partway during the third quarter on Saturday and was subsequently sent for scans on Sunday morning.
“Christian received scans this morning and our team, alongside Christian, will now work through the optimal course of action,” GC SUNS General Manager of Football Craig Cameron said.
The SUNS have the bye in Round 3 before facing Melbourne at the MCG in Round 4.
