The AFL has locked in the 2026 NAB AFLW fixture today, confirming the Gold Coast SUNS will kick off its campaign at People First Stadium.
The SUNS will take on the Western Bulldogs on Saturday 15 August in front of fans, family and friends before returning to its home deck to verse Geelong in Round 3, Collingwood in Round 5, St Kilda in Round 7 and Richmond in Round 11.
In Round 9, the SUNS will venture north again to celebrate Pride Round with a battle against the Melbourne Demons at Mackay's Great Barrier Reef Arena.
Rivalries will run deep across the league in Round 8, with Gold Coast set to challenge the 2025 Grand Finalists for the QClash Cup at Brighton Homes Arena.
SUNS fans across the country can catch all the action live from Round 2 when Gold Coast travel west to take on the Eagles at Mineral Resources Park followed by two games in Adelaide, at Port's Alberton Oval (Round 4) and the Crow's Thomas Farm's Oval (Round 10). The SUNS will head south again in Round 6 to battle Essendon and close the home-and-away season against the GWS Giants at Henson Park.
"We're excited to launch our 2026 campaign at People First Stadium in front of SUNS fans, family and friends,” Gold Coast SUNS General Manager of Women's Football Erin Phillips said.
“We’ve recruited quality players and, with half our list made up of proud home-grown talent, we’re excited to test ourselves against strong competition. There’s real hunger across the group, and selection will be fiercely competitive all season.
“Mark your calendars and secure your SUNS membership, we can’t wait to see you at People First Stadium in Round 1 and across the season."
