The Gold Coast SUNS congratulates General Manager of Women’s Football Erin Phillips on her induction into the Adelaide Crows Hall of Fame on Friday night.

The AFLW trailblazer launched her footballing career in 2017 as the Crows’ inaugural co-captain before becoming a three-time premiership player, in which the crafty midfield/forward was named best on ground on two occasions. She also earned the league’s highest individual honour as AFLW Best & Fairest on two occasions, and was recognised by her peers as the AFLPA's AFLW Most Valuable Player in those same years (2017 & 2019).

In 2025, the AFLW icon was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame, joining her father Greg Phillips, and has since commenced her first pre-season with the Gold Coast SUNS as the General Manager of Women’s Football.

Gold Coast SUNS Chief Executive Officer Mark Evans congratulated Phillips on the prestigious achievement.

“On behalf of the Gold Coast SUNS, we wish to congratulate Erin on the recognition of her remarkable career at the Adelaide Crows,” Evans said.

“Erin is a pioneer of women’s football and the AFL Women's competition, and now in an off-field capacity, continues to make a significant contributions to the footballing community.
