Bodhi Uwland and Ben King are both in contention for their maiden All Australian berths having both being named today in the extended 2026 All Australian squad.
The selection is the second consecutive for King while it’s a first following a career-best campaign for StreetSmarts SUNS Academy graduate Uwland.
The 23-year-old played every match in 2026 as one of the SUNS’ most consistent contributors in defence. Most noted for his defensive contest work, Uwland took his offensive game to another level in 2026, averaging 23.1 disposals and 4.2 rebound 50s.
Three goals in the Round 24 win over St Kilda took King beyond the 60-goal mark for a second consecutive season. The 26-year-old finished third in the Coleman Medal and was the only player in the AFL to kick a goal in every possible match - a feat he also achieved in 2025.
The All Australian team will be named at the AFL Awards on Tuesday night.
