The Gold Coast SUNS will blood its tenth AFLW debutant of the season this Sunday, with StreetSmarts SUNS Academy product Rhianna Ingram set to be named to take on the Saints.
The 18-year-old joins fellow Academy graduates Sunny Lappin, Ava Usher, Georja Davies, Alannah Welsh, Mikayla Nurse, Dekota Baron and Bronte Parker alongside off-season recruits Lily Quigley and Paige Price to have made their AFLW debuts this season.
Selected with pick 44 in the 2025 Telstra AFLW Draft, the rebounding defender brings a balance of offensive and defensive traits, evident in her surge mentality, and has built a reputation on consistency, composure and clean skills.
A lifelong SUNS fan, the Southport Sharks junior will be eager to add to the synergy and defensive hallmarks of the SUNS 2026 campaign.
“We’re excited to see Rhianna earn the opportunity to make her AFLW debut this Sunday,” Gold Coast SUNS General Manager of Women’s Football Erin Phillips said.
“She has put in a mountain of her work this year to develop her game and prepare for this moment.
“Pulling on the SUNS jumper on Sunday will be a special reward for her commitment and a fantastic moment for the club, our Academy and the Gold Coast community.”
Rhyce Shaw’s Round 7 squad will be named at 6:20pm before the final team to face St Kilda is locked in on Friday evening.
