When the SUNS return to Metricon on June 2 it will not only be the first game on the Gold Coast this year, but for some players their first chance to play in their home stadium.

2018 recruits Aaron Young, Lachie Weller and Nick Holman have never run out onto Metricon in a SUNS jumper before.

It will be even more special for draftees Charlie Ballard, Brayden Crossley and Jacob Heron who will play their first ever AFL match at Metricon if selected in the final team.

The same can be said for this year’s coaching panel with Stuart Dew, George Stone and Jon Haines making their Metricon debuts also.

While the match will hold special significance for those mentioned above, it will also be a proud moment for the entire club to celebrate Sir Doug Nicholls Round and the return of football on the Gold Coast.

Patrons will want to make sure they arrive in time for the pre-game entertainment at 3:45pm headlined by Gold Coast local Amy Shark.

As usual, all match day ticket holders receive free public transport to and from the match.

Simply present your ticket on Surfside Buses, QLD Rail services and the G:Link. Shuttle buses will operate from Nerang Station, Broadbeach South Station Event bus stop and park & ride facility at Boowaggan Rd, Merrimac.

Supporters can plan their travel using public transport via www.translink.com.au.
