The Gold Coast SUNS have confirmed one change to the team to take on Fremantle at Metricon Stadium this Sunday.

David Swallow has been declared fit to play after injuring his knee in Round 1 and will start on the interchange bench.

“It’s great that Dave was able to get up for this weekend’s game,” Senior Coach Stuart Dew told SUNS Media.

“He obviously was able to play the game out last week, managed his knee well during the week and trained strongly today so he’s good to go.”

Ben Ainsworth comes out of the side after a more serious knee injury ruled him out for the next 4-6 weeks.

He has been replaced by Nick Holman in the starting 22.

“It’s great to welcome Nick back into our starting 22,” Dew said.

“We know what he brings for the team and we can’t wait to see him out there against Fremantle”

Will Brodie, Jacob Heron, Jesse Joyce and Ben King are all emergencies for the match with one to be the non-playing emergency and the other three to play in the NEAFL practice match against Brisbane.

First bounce for SUNS v FREO is 3:40pm local time with gates to open at 1:45pm.
