The Gold Coast SUNS will once again spend time in the community for the 2020 AFL Community Camps set to take place over February and March.

In its eighteenth year, the AFL Community Camps provide an opportunity for football fans across the country to access the game, with more than 750 AFL players set to visit local schools, football clubs, nursing homes, hospitals and community centres.

The SUNS are set to visit key Academy zone regions Townsville, Cairns and Rockhampton as well as the Northern Rivers (NSW) across February 20-21.

The club will then visit schools, hospitals and local clubs on the Gold Coast across two days on Thursday February 27 and Monday March 9.

Established in 2003, the AFL Community Camps have reached more than 1.5 million school students across 7,500 schools and over 48,500 people in aged care facilities and hospitals.

In addition, more than 101,000 children have participated in AFL super clinics since the program’s commencement, while funding has been raised through official functions to assist local junior community football programs.
