Tickets go on sale today, Monday 15th April, for the Gold Coast SUNS Round 13 fixture of the 2019 Toyota AFL Premiership season.  

A capacity crowd is expected to attend the Round 13 match at Riverway Stadium between the Gold Coast SUNS and St Kilda to be played on Saturday June 15, 2019 at 1.45pm local time.

Gold Coast SUNS Chief Executive, Mark Evans was buoyed by the opportunity to bring AFL football & the Gold Coast SUNS to North Queensland.

"To be able to bring elite level AFL football to the region and highlight Townsville on the national stage as part of the Toyota AFL Premiership season is very exciting” Mr Evans said.

“For the 9th year in a row we will play a Toyota AFL premiership match in North Queensland. As a club we need to continue to play our role in developing our game throughout the region, a key recruitment catchment for the SUNS Talent Academy. 

“The facilities here in Townsville, at Riverway Stadium are fantastic and we hope we can play our role in showcasing everything the city has to offer. 

Mayor of Townsville Cr Jenny Hill encouraged locals to get in early, buy their tickets and support the Gold Coast SUNS.

“It’s going to be a fantastic game and weekend of footy,” Mayor Hill said.

“North Queenslanders need to come out and get behind the Gold Coast SUNS.

“Hosting an event like this means we can showcase this venue and our city to the millions of people who watch AFL throughout the country.

“We’ve got a great facility here in Riverway Stadium, it’s one of the best in Australia.”

General Admission ticket prices start from $26.00 for an adult, with a family of four, fix or six able to attend in General Admission for $52.00

The match is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland and features on the It’s Live! In Queensland events calendar, worth $800m to the state’s economy in 2019.

Gold Coast SUNS Members travelling to the game will have the opportunity to arrange tickets through the Club to ensure they are all seated together.
