Only three weeks after being awarded the AFL Rising Star nomination for his dominant performance during the Gold Coast SUNS 44-point win over the GWS Giants, Jaeger O’Meara once again finds himself in the headlines with his miracle goal against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday earning the teenage sensation awarded with a British Paints Goal of the Year nomination for Round 8.

O’Meara was among the Gold Coast’s best on-field performers in the team’s 32-point victory over the Western Bulldogs at Metricon Stadium, the elite youngster finishing the match with  25 disposals, however it was his goal midway through the third quarter that provided the highlight of the contest.

GC SUNS members and fans can now vote for O’Meara’s goal by clicking here with each entrant going into the running for the weekly cash prize of $200 – and the major cash prize of $5000 at the end of the season!
