There was a buzz around Southport on Saturday as Gold Coast SUNS fans flocked to watch their team train.Training as a full squad in front of their supporters for the first time, each player was greeted with a cheer as they took the field.

Those in attendance donned their red, blue and gold, waved balloons, clapped and cheered on their team as they were put through their paces in the bright sunshine.

Following the training session those on hand were treated to a meet and greet with their favourite players who signed autographs, posed for photos, played kick to kick and mingled with the fans.

Fans took the opportunity to have their hats, footballs, shirts, posters, jumpers and other Gold Coast SUNS merchandise signed by the entire team, who rotated through an autograph table for an hour. Others took the chance to discuss the upcoming season with the players and welcome the newcomers to the Coast.
