The Gold Coast SUNS Guernsey numbers have been confirmed for the 2012 AFL season and goldcoastfc.com.au has the official word.
goldcoastfc.com.au can reveal that five players have selected to change their jumper number to a lower number.
Harley Bennell (11), Sam Day (12), Tom Lynch (19), Jeremy Taylor (21) and Josh Caddy (28) will all have new numbers in 2012.
National Draft selections, Henry Schade, Jackson Allen and Alex Sexton will wear 50, 31, and 37 respectively, while Matthew Warnock, he came to the GC SUNS via Melbourne during the trade period will don the number 14 jumper, previously worn by Nathan Krakouer. Krakouer, who left the club in early December, will be allocated number 52, as under AFL rule, he remains on the playing list and requires a number.
Last weeks draftees will wear numbers, Aaron Hall (33), Kyal Horsely (42), Andrew McQualter (51) and Josh Hall (46).
Teenager Jaeger O’Meara has been given the number 39. O’Meara who will train all season with the GC SUNS, is only eligible to play with the GC SUNS reserves in the NEAFL next season.
