Gary Ablett will miss this weekends match against North Melbourne after scans today revealed bone bruising and minor damage to his knee capsule.

Gold Coast SUNS General Manager Marcus Ashcroft confirmed the results of the scans.

"Gary had scans this morning on his right knee, the scans have revealed no structural damage to his knee however we expect him to miss a couple of matches."
