Gold Coast Football Club recruit Karmichael Hunt had his first day out in the Community, visiting one of the states biggest schools, Upper Coomera State College, located in the Northern Growth Corridor of the Gold Coast.
Hunt who visited the school this morning, took part in a Q and A session on stage with over 300 students, before heading out on the field to encourage and support students to participate in AFL with the GCFC Promotions team’s giant inflatable field.
And Hunt’s popularity amongst the kids was confirmed, when he was mobbed by hundred of students who just wanted to get a glimpse, a high five or autograph.
GCFC Community Programs Officer Corey Bell said ”The interest in both Karmichael and children “trying” AFL has been overwhelming. Children of all ages connect with him which was evident today”.
Today’s visit is just one of many, the club have conducted recently as part of their commitment to the Community in encouraging the next generation to participate in sport and AFL.
