After the close four-point loss to St Kilda last week, the SUNS match committee will be weighing up whether to make any changes to the Round 11 team to take on Essendon.

Pearce Hanley and Darcy Macpherson were both omitted for the St Kilda clash but would be in consideration for selection once again.

Inside midfielder Will Brodie hasn’t been seen since Round 1 but was the senior emergency in Round 10 and is in the mix.

In the scratch match, Sam Flanders put up strong numbers again and could be close to earning his AFL debut.

Medium forward Josh Corbett continued his impressive form and could earn a run in the forward line if changes are required, as could fellow forward Peter Wright.

Brayden Fiorini has been in and out of the senior side but showed his class again in the scratch match and is a proven performer at AFL level.

Key defender Rory Thompson made his return from injury but may need more time to build match fitness, while Anthony Miles is another who has now had a few games back since his hamstring injury.

If co-captain Jarrod Witts needs support in the ruck, Zac Smith could also be an option after some consistent performances in the scratch matches also.
