The Gold Coast SUNS and the Gold Coast Blaze will come together this week in the Community, to visit and distribute presents to many children who are currently at the Gold Coast Hospitals Childrens ward, as part of the Beyond Building Energy’s Toy Drive.
The Gold Coast SUNS players will participate in this day, where over the last few weeks, Christmas presents have been collected as part of a donation process and will be then distributed to those in need at the Hospital at Christmas time.
Gold Coast SUNS Players Nathan Bock, Tom Lynch and Jacob Gilbee will be on hand not only with presents but Gold Coast SUNS showbags and giveaways as part of the visit.
Community Programs Officer Corey Bell said “ The players are really looking forward to visiting the children and families at the hospital, to hopefully raise the spirits of those in hospital at this time of the year.”
The Gold Coast SUNS have been active in December in the Community having recently participated in the White Christmas Charity Event where the club had 50 players take part in a night that benefited over 3000 of the Gold Coast’s most needy people.
On top of that close to $33,000 has been raised through the White Christmas Charity Fund over the last 5 weeks which will benefit the clubs 3 charity areas being (Youth Homeless, Domestic Violence and the Northern Growth Corridor).
