The Gold Coast SUNS have made three changes to the team to take on North Melbourne at Blundstone Arena on Saturday.

Captain David Swallow will miss the match after suffering a concussion during the Round 14 loss to Port Adelaide.

Midfielder Lachie Weller is also unavailable after sustaining a hamstring injury in the match, while key forward Chris Burgess has been omitted.

Fresh off signing a new two-year contract, wingman Jeremy Sharp will come in to play his first match in 2021.

Sharp has been one of the most consistent performers for the SUNS at VFL level and has earned his chance after an impressive performance last week which included 33 disposals and a goal.

Ben Ainsworth also returns to the team after a pair of high-quality games in the VFL, with seven goals in the last fortnight and 24 disposals against Aspley on the weekend.

Key forward Josh Corbett was another amongst the goals in the VFL and returns for his ninth AFL match this year after booting five majors.

As reported earlier this week, vice-captain Sam Collins, who was a late out against Port Adelaide, will again miss this weekend with Caleb Graham to resume the post of key defender.

Touk Miller will officially take the reins as captain for the match in the absence of regular skippers Swallow and Jarrod Witts and fellow vice-captain Collins.

Last week’s medical substitute Brayden Fiorini has again been named as emergency alongside Burgess, Rory Atkins and Will Brodie.

First bounce at Blundstone Arena is at 1:45pm. The match will be broadcast live on the Seven Network (check your local guide), FOX FOOTY, Kayo and the AFL Live Official App.
