The SUNS are set to have an influx of players available for selection again ahead of a Round 17 clash against GWS.

Lachie Weller has recovered from a hamstring injury which saw him miss two weeks, while Zac Smith is available also after progressing through the concussion protocol.

“Lachie has done really well, he trained really hard last week and trained fully with the group today,” SUNS Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull told the Qscan Injury Update.

“Zac was training with the group today as a non-contact player and he’ll be fully involved in training on Friday before being available for the weekend as well.”

The pair join Hugh Greenwood, who missed last week’s match for the birth of his second child, as potential inclusions for Round 17.

Strong-marking forward Josh Corbett will miss the match after sustaining a concussion in the second quarter of the game against Richmond.

“Josh is tracking really well since the incident,” Bull said.

“He’s had a little run today and he’ll continue to progress through our pretty strict concussion protocols and we expect him to be available for next week’s game.”

Jordan Murdoch has fully recovered from a calf injury and is another who is available for selection again.
