Rioli crossed to the SUNS from Richmond in the 2024 Trade Period after an impressive season which saw him claim the Tigers’ Best and Fairest. He’s just the sixth reigning club champion to switch clubs since 2010. He has finished top five in the Richmond Best & Fairest in the last three years, led the Tigers in possessions last year with a career-high 536 at 23.3 per game, and ranked fourth in the League in home-and-away running bounces. Still in his prime and signed until 2029, he will add to the SUNS defensive unit as he closes in on 200 AFL games.
