The 29-year-old was an incredibly talented junior, playing for Queensland at open-age carnivals, but gave the game away for seven years when joining the Australian Defence Force. Pregelj was voted into the leadership group in 2021 and is a vocal organiser of the defensive group on the field. She reads the play better than most, is physical in the contest and is an excellent interceptor and ball-user by foot.
