SUNS goalsneak Alex Sexton has become the fourth player to be inducted as a life member of the Gold Coast Football Club.

Sexton qualified for life membership after playing his 150th game for the club in Round 19 against the Brisbane Lions, and was ratified by the board to be officially inducted at the SUNS Club Champion event.

Gold Coast is the only club the 27-year-old has known after being drafted out of high school as a 17-year-old, taken as a zone selection in the 2011 AFL Draft.

Now in his 10th season at the club, Sexton joins Jarrod Harbrow, Michael Rischitelli and David Swallow as players to become life members of the club.

He is the third SUN to play 150+ games for the club and currently sits second overall on the club’s all-time goalkicking list with 150 goals.

Sexton becomes the club’s eighth life member behind Harbrow, Rischitelli, Swallow, Bob East, Paul Scurrah, Bob Gordon and Dr Alan Mackenzie.
