It was another fantastic winter's day at Metricon Stadium for the GC SUNS major training session of the week.

The team trained extremely well, but the big news out of the session was that Captain Gary Ablett couldn't train with the main group and had been ruled out of Saturday afternoon's game against Geelong at Skilled Stadium with a hamstring injury. It appears not even my super human powers were enough to repair that hammy, so it looks like its back to the Deep Heat.

I caught up with my favourite red headed coach Bluey after the session and he told me he was hopeful that Gary will be available to play in QClash 2 against the Lions at the Gabba next week. I have become quite partial to drinking out of the QClash Cup considering we won it last time, hopefully Gaz can play so we can win it back again.

Anyway, Bluey also told me that Karmichael didn't train as he has the flu and would be a doubtful starter this weekend also. I will pop around to see him once I finish shaping my biceps and offer him some of my Mum's special three bean, radish and alfalfa soup. That will have him back on the track in no time.

It was great to see youngster Josh Caddy back on the track, word is he might even play against the Broadbeach Cats at Broadbeach on Saturday in the reserves. That would be sweet.

Brandon Matera was also back training as was Sam Iles who missed last weeks match with a hip injury.

Till next week, fire up and catch you at the footy!
