GANDEN Engineers have shown they’re right behind our AFLW players as they prepare for their third NAB AFLW Premiership Campaign starting on Sunday 9 January.

The locally based Gold Coast Engineering and Project Management company have joined as partners of the AFLW Program and will be featured on the top of the back our AFLW players guernsey.

GANDEN Engineers and Project Managers provides Process, Mechanical, Civil and Structural Engineering services to the Water Industry, Mining Industry and Industrial Sector. GANDEN has offices on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne, Cairns and Rockhampton.

Gold Coast SUNS Chief Commercial Officer Simon Fitzgibbon said it was fantastic to continue to receive support from the local business community.

“We’re thrilled to have GANDEN expand their support of our football club, in what is a great example of Gold Coasters supporting Gold Coasters,” Fitzgibbon said.

“GANDEN are one of the country’s leading water industry consultants and now they’re helping to pave the way for women wanting to play AFL Football and reach the elite level.

“Our AFLW players can go into every fixture knowing that GANDEN have got their backs.”

GANDEN Managing Director, Darron Nutt said the similarities between the two businesses are clear to see and he looked forward to a beneficial partnership for many years to come.

“Two companies with so much in common in the last decade, both have emerged as high-performing teams on the national arena, with exciting years ahead,” Nutt said.

“We’re really proud to be involved with the Gold Coast SUNS, similar to them our aim is to encourage higher female participation in traditional male dominated industries and we look forward to supporting both the SUNS and females within our industries to flourish.”

Whilst the AFL in Southeast Queensland has achieved nearly 50% female participation, Engineering still has some way to go with less than 13% participation in Australia.

GANDEN's aim is to promote Women in Engineering using the partnership with the club’s AFLW team as a platform to highlight the opportunity for further female engagement in the industry.

As well as featuring across the Top Back of our AFLW Playing guernseys the GANDEN brand will feature prominently across signage assets at Metricon Stadium and look to create genuine introductions through the SUNS B2B program.
