Gold Coast SUNS Vice-Captain Sam Collins has officially thrown his support behind the 2022 RizeUp Easter Appeal.

Driven by the SUNS Major Charity Partner, RizeUp, the appeal aims to provide the thousands of children who have sought refuge from domestic and family violence something to smile about each Easter.

Collins was on hand with RizeUp Partnerships and Corporate Development Manager Danielle Appi, to help raise awareness and make a contribution to the appeal on behalf of the players and staff.

“RizeUp do an amazing job helping those who are looking to restart their lives after fleeing from the trauma of domestic and family violence and anything we as a club and playing group can do to help support, shine a light or raise awareness of their work, we’re going to do it,” Collins said.

“I’d also like to recognise the team at Pana Organic for their support in donating $20,000 worth of chocolate and easter eggs to the RizeUp Easter Appeal, it’s an amazing contribution and a great case of our club partners supporting each other, in times of need.”

Pana-Organic create Australian made, Plant-Based, Gluten Free and delicious chocolate for every occasion.

RizeUp Partnerships and Corporate Development Manager Danielle Appi was over the moon with the support from the SUNS and their partners but continued to push the importance for others to give generously.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge the SUNS and their partners for their support of this very important initiative,” Appi said.

“As a community it’s important that we continue to support and show compassion to the vulnerable families impacted by the effects of Domestic and Family Violence, so please continue to donate generously and help put a smile on a child’s face this Easter.”

RizeUp are collecting Easter Plush toys, Chocolate Bunnies, Easter Eggs and Boxes of Chocolates between March 14th and April 1st.
