Jack Lukosius and Malcolm Rosas Jnr will be pushing to be available for AFL selection after missing last weekend’s QClash against Brisbane Lions due to injury.

After a string of eye-catching performances, Rosas Jnr was ruled out of the Round 6 game with a calf complaint and will be monitored this week.

“Mal was pretty sore at training on Thursday night and couldn’t complete the session,” Head Physiotherapist Lindsay Bull told the Qscan Injury Update.

“He’s improved really well over the last few days… we will be aiming for him to train this week and assess his availability from there.”

Lukosius will also have the main training session on Thursday to prove his fitness for the Collingwood match but Bull said his progress this week has been encouraging.

“Jack ran really well today did a lot of footy specific movements and kicking and marking and completed them really well,” he said.

“We’ll expect Jack to join into training and assess him for this week’s game.”

Wil Powell is one that will miss the trip to take on Collingwood after suffering a hamstring injury.

“Wil suffered a hamstring strain during Sunday's Round 6 match, which we’ll work with him to rehabilitate over the next two to three weeks.”

Joel Jeffrey has recovered from his ankle injury and will be available to play this weekend, while Jy Farrar was a late change to the Round 6 AFL side due to illness and will be available for selection ahead of Sunday’s game against Collingwood.
