SUNS recruit Gabrielle Biedenweg-Webster has earned a berth in the rebel VFLW Team of the Year 30-player squad.
The versatile tall was superb as a rebounding defender throughout the 2022 VFLW season for Williamstown, a season during which she caught the eyes of the SUNS coaching panel and was subsequently selected by the club as a mature-age signing ahead of the 2022 NAB AFLW Draft.
She is Williamstown’s sole representative in the squad on the back of season averages of 10.1 disposals, 5.2 contested possession and 2.5 rebound 50s across 14 games for the campaign.
The final team will be named on Monday September 12, as part of the 2022 VFL and VFLW Awards. The awards will be live streamed from 7:00pm on the AFL website and AFL Live Official App.
