Versatile defender Georgia Clayden has capped off a memorable debut AFLW season, earning the praise of her peers and taking out the Players’ Player award, presented by Mackay Regional Council.

The Players’ Player award is voted upon by the players, recognising the footballer who best lives and demonstrates the team values in all facets.

A talented multi-sport athlete, Clayden was picked up by the SUNS ahead of Season Seven and quickly impressed her teammates and coaches.

She was one of three players to earn their AFLW debut in Round 1 before then featuring in all 10 SUNS games.

Never afraid to display a ferocity around the contest, the 27-year-old was an ever-consistent presence in the SUNS defence.
