Noah Anderson has been recognised as one of the game’s finest young talents, named in the AFLPA 22Under22 Team.

The selection is Anderson’s second in as many years on the back of a superb 2023 campaign in the SUNS midfield.

After signing a long-term extension at the beginning of 2023, Anderson has been a consistent contributor in the SUNS midfield this season, ranking #8 in the AFL for total clearances and sitting inside the top echelon for disposals, contested possessions and ground ball gets.

The initial 40-person squad, which was selected by former Docker and SUN, Michael Barlow, with support from the AFLPA and Champion Data, was narrowed to the best 22 players aged 22 and under, as voted by the fans.

The 22-year-old is one of six players selected for a second time in a team captained by Collingwood’s Nick Daicos and vice-captained by Hawthorn’s Jai Newcombe.

To be eligible for selection, players must be aged 22 and under for the entirety of the season (including Grand Final day – September 30) and have played a minimum of 12 games throughout the 2023 season.
