Key defender Vivien Saad is nearing a return to AFLW action after missing the opening two matches of the 2023 season with a calf complaint.
GC SUNS AFLW Physiotherapist Jasmine Herlihy says Saad will be a test for Sunday’s clash against Collingwood.
“We’ll continue to monitor Viv’s progress at training this week and make a decision on her availability ahead of this weekend,” Herlihy said.
The SUNS can report a relatively strong bill of health with Kalinda Howarth (knee) the only other player currently on the injury list.
