The Gold Coast SUNS have made further list changes after the conclusion of the 2023 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period.

As a result, Jeremy Sharp and Jake Stein have been advised they would not be offered playing contracts for 2024.

Sharp joined the SUNS with pick 27 in the 2019 NAB AFL Draft and has played 23 AFL games in his four seasons with the club, but wasn’t able to break through for any senior games in 2023.

Stein joined the club via the Rookie Draft in 2022 but didn’t play any senior games for the SUNS.

Both players featured in the 2023 VFL Premiership for the SUNS, although it was a bittersweet day for Stein who ruptured his ACL during the match.

The SUNS have committed to supporting Stein through the rehabilitation of his injury.

GC SUNS General Manager of Player Talent Craig Cameron thanked both players for their time with the club.

“I’d like to extend our thanks to both Jeremy and Jake for their contributions to our football club,” Cameron said.

“Although they didn’t play any AFL games in 2023, both were important players in our successful VFL campaign and we wish them all the best for what lies ahead.”
