Fifteen of the StreetSmarts SUNS Academy’s rising stars have earned selection for the upcoming 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships - Under 18 girls.

The Queensland squad to compete at this year’s Championships was confirmed on Tuesday night, with representatives from both the SUNS Academy and Brisbane Lions Academy selected in the 30-player squad.

The squad will don maroon for three matches, beginning on Sunday, June 22 against Western Australia in Victoria.

“It’s incredible to see another big group of our StreetSmarts SUNS Academy talents earn selection for this year’s National Championships,” StreetSmarts SUNS Academy manager Kath Newman said.

“With eight of our male players also earning selection for the Championships, it’s another fantastic result for the Gold Coast football community and recognition not only for the young players themselves, but everyone involved in their journey so far.”
