Several SUNS shone in the seasoner opener against West Coast Eagles.

Georgia Clayden fired up the SUNS scoreboard with the first major of the round, seizing her moment inside 50.

In the engine room, SUNS skipper Lucy Single (seven tackles & 17 disposals) was influential alongside major ball winner Charlie Rowbottom (23 disposals, 12 contested possessions & 6 tackles) and Maddy Brancatisano (18 disposals & six tackles), who showed the young SUNS how it’s done in her milestone 50^th match.

Key defenders Charlotte Wilson (12 touches) and Meara Girvin (12) applied immense pressure, following suit from co-captain Niam McLaughlin (16) who lead with composure and grit.

Up forward, Annabel Kievit was fierce laying five tackles and recording four score involvements. While debutant Havanna Harris (one goal, eight contested possessions, 16 disposals & four tackles) kicked off her career with several highlights, including a final term clunker that converted into the draftee’s first AFLW goal.
