Young SUNS duo Annabel Kievit and Bronte Parker have locked in their futures on the Gold Coast.
Kievit has put pen to paper on a three-year extension, tying her to the SUNS until the end of 2029. Already contracted for 2027, Parker too is locked in until the end of 2029 after signing a two-year extension.
Gold Coast General Manager of Women’s Football Erin Phillips said she was pleased to see three rising talents commit to the club.
“We are thrilled to have Annabel and Bronte committed to our club until 2029,” Phillips said.
“Annabel’s versatility and consistency throughout her young career have been impressive and we’re looking forward to having her back on the field before too long.
“Bronte is another success story from our StreetSmarts SUNS Academy and it’s been terrific to see her excel throughout her first AFLW season.
“Both players are only in the early days of their careers and we’re excited to see them continue to grow and develop in the years ahead.”
Northern Territory talent Kievit has been a consistent member of the SUNS since being drafted in 2023, playing a variety of roles across midfield and defence. The 21-year-old featured in 30 consecutive games following her debut before suffering a knee injury last month.
Parker was one of a remarkable eight StreetSmarts SUNS Academy graduates to be drafted to the club in 2025. The 19-year-old has become a mainstay on the wing in her first season, averaging 11 disposals across nine matches.
The duo are the latest SUNS to ink new deals, following key forward Havana Harris, who penned a three-year extension earlier this month.
Gold Coast returns to People First Stadium on Saturday to face Richmond and is eyeing a club-record eighth win of the season. Tickets are available here.
