SUNS captain Noah Anderson leads a club record five SUNS players selected in today’s 40-man All-Australian squad.
Anderson joins vice-captain Sam Collins, leading goal kicker Ben King, midfield counterpart Matt Rowell and breakout small forward Ben Long in the extended squad, marking the first time the SUNS have had five members in an All-Australian squad.
It is Anderson’s third inclusion in the extended squad (2023, 2024) and Collins’ second (2024) with all five players in contention for their inaugural All Australian team selections.
The All Australian selection panel was asked to select 44 players to recognise the leading players across all parts of the field – forwards, defenders and midfielders/rucks.
The final team of 22 will be named on Thursday, 28 August, as part of the AFL Awards. The 2025 All Australian selection panel is Andrew Dillon (Chair), Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Nathan Buckley, Kane Cornes, Abbey Holmes, Glen Jakovich, Laura Kane and Matthew Pavlich.
