The Gold Coast SUNS have made history on Wednesday night, qualifying for its first Toyota AFL Finals Series with a 95-point win over Essendon at People First Stadium.

The record-breaking 15th win of the season has elevated the SUNS into seventh position at the conclusion of the AFL home & away season, locking the SUNS in for its first AFL Finals appearance in club history.

The AFL has confirmed on Wednesday night the SUNS will face Fremantle in the Second Qualifying Final at Optus Stadium on Saturday, 6th September (5:35pm local/7:35pm AEST).

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, 29 August, with timings to be confirmed tomorrow.

All matches in Week One of the 2025 Toyota AFL Finals Series will be broadcast live nationally on the Seven Network and Fox Footy and streamed live on Kayo.
