Gold Coast SUNS captain Noah Anderson has added another accolade to a growing resumé, taking out the 2025 NAB AFL Goal of the Year on Monday night.

Anderson’s pivotal goal late in the final quarter of the Round 18 win over Collingwood that sent the People First Stadium crowd into raptures was announced as the finest of the 2025 season at Monday night’s Brownlow Medal count in Melbourne.

Bursting out of the centre following a deft hitout from Jarrod Witts, Anderson steams towards goal, linking up with Lachie Weller on the edge of the 50m arc before receiving a return handball and finishing cooly on the run with a right-foot snap to extend the SUNS’ lead to a match-defining nine points.

As NAB Goal of the Year winner, Anderson receives $50,000 while NAB will donate a further $10,000 to the captain’s community club, Hawthorn Citizens.

It’s the latest accolade for Anderson who this year received his first All Australian blazer and was named as joint winner of the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year.
