The Gold Coast SUNS have welcomed experienced strength and conditioning coach Anthony Gallomarino to the club as its new AFLW Head of High Performance.
Gallomarino joins the SUNS following an extensive career in elite sport, having worked closely with athletes in both the AFLW and cricket industries in South Australia.
He most recently held the position of AFLW Head of High Performance at Port Adelaide - a tenure which included the Power’s inaugural AFLW Finals campaign - following a decade in various roles at the South Australia Cricket Association and Cricket Australia.
Gold Coast SUNS General Manager of Women’s Football Erin Phillips says Gallomorino will provide a wealth of experience to the club’s program.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Anthony to our football club,” Phillips said.
“Not only does he bring with him plenty of experience across several sports, but a history of making significant and positive impacts at previous sporting clubs and programs.
“To have someone of his calibre and experience leading our high performance program will help us take big steps forward as a club this year and beyond.”
The SUNS will officially commence 2026 AFLW pre-season training in May.
