Damien Hardwick has locked in his 26-man side for Thursday night’s AAMI Community Series clash against the Brisbane Lions at Brighton Homes Arena.
The game marks the Gold Coast’s final pre-season hit out before the SUNS take on Geelong in Opening Round at People First Stadium next Friday March 6.
Returning from AFL Origin duties, SUNS skipper Noah Anderson, vice-captain Sam Collins and leader Ben King will take field in SUNS colours for the first time in 2026.
After a hot start in last week’s match simulation against St Kilda, Leo Lombard will run out again alongside fellow second year SUN Lachie Gulbin. The duo are two of twelve StreetSmarts SUNS Academy products named in the SUNS team to take on the Lions.
New recruits Christian Petracca, Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and StreetSmarts SUNS Academy graduate Zeke Uwland are also set to earn another taste of the SUNS system.
Ethan Read will be unavailable as he progresses through concussion protocols.
The AAMI Community Series matches will take on the following format:

4 quarters of 20 mins plus time on (as per AFL Premiership Season).

Squad of 30 players; 18 on field, eight interchange and four emergencies. Minimum of four players on the Interchange Bench during the match at any time.

No Interchange Cap.

Full panel of umpires appointed by the AFL.
