A final quarter onslaught has seen Tasmania see off the Gold Coast SUNS in Saturday morning's VFL contest at North Hobart Oval.
The SUNS bolted out of the gate kicking the game's first five goals, but a youthful side were overrun by the home side late with the Devils extending a two-point three-quarter time lead to win by 50 points, 18.14 (122) to 10.12 (72).
Sam Clohesy led all comers spending plenty of time on-ball, finishing with 37 disposals and was well supplied by Jarrod Witts who dominated the ruck battle with 49 hitouts.
Caleb Lewis continued his push for an AFL debut with four goals - three of which came inside the game's first 40 minutes, while Max Knobel too provided a headache for Devils' defenders with two majors of his own.
Charlie Ballard was utilised at both ends of the ground with Caleb Graham (equal game-high nine marks, 10 intercept possessions) leading a SUNS defence that contained Tasmanian Avery Thomas.
Jake Rogers returned for his first outing from an ankle injury, having 11 touches in the first half before being managed after the main break.
The SUNS next return home to People First Stadium to face Footscray next Sunday.
