Rhyce Shaw has locked in his 26-player team to take on Carlton in Saturday’s AFLW practice match at People First Stadium.
The side features 14 StreetSmarts SUNS Academy graduates, including seven of the cohort acquired at the 2025 AFLW Draft.
Georja Davies, Mikalya Nurse, Sunny Lappin, Dekota Baron, Ava Usher, Alannah Welsh and Rhi Ingram will all run out at People First Stadium, as will fellow pre-season recruits Lily Quigley and Paige Price.
SUNS fans will get an early chance to see Anne Hatchard in action with the experienced midfielder named on-ball alongside Price and Usher.
After both being sidelined with injury in 2025, Cairns product Heidi Talbot and Daisy D’Arcy have both been named for the SUNS penultimate pre-season hit out with the former looking to pitch her case for a Round 1 debut, named at half-forward.
Entry to People First Stadium is free with gates open at 11:30am for a 12pm start. The match will also be streamed on the SUNS website.
