Four StreetSmarts SUNS Academy talents have been named to feature in the 2026 Marsh AFL National Futures matches.
The Marsh AFL National Futures program brings talented players, born in 2009, from every state and territory together in a high-performance environment ahead of their Draft year.
SUNS trio Grace Cooper, Tara Nieass and Asia Single are set to showcase their talent in the Marsh AFL National Futures Girls match at Windy Hill on Sunday, September 12, in a double-header with the NAB AFLW Round 5 match between Richmond and St Kilda.
Young SUN Taj Murray has also earned the opportunity to represent Gold Coast on the nation’s biggest stage as part of the Toyota AFL Grand Final curtain raiser on Saturday, September 26.
"We’re thrilled to see several Academy members earn selection in this year's Marsh AFL National Futures program,” StreetSmarts SUNS Academy manager Kath Newman said.
“It’s an incredible opportunity for our emerging stars of the Gold Coast to showcase their talent on the AFL and AFLW stages, and we know they will do our community proud.”
