Touk Miller is set to be a SUN for life after putting pen to paper on a multi-year contract extension.
The 30-year-old was previously locked in on the Gold Coast for 2027 and has committed for a further three seasons to remain in the red, gold and blue until the end of 2030.
The two-time SUNS Club Champion, who will embark on his 13th campaign in SUNS colours in 2027, says the belief and connection within the club was influential in his decision.
“Any time you get an opportunity to keep living out your dream is one you want to take. I’m really fortunate that the club has allowed me to do that and I'm excited for what's to come,” Miller told SUNS Media.
“It’s the people at this club that made the decision a simple one. I have a great connection here, particularly with the playing group, and I believe that we’ve got something building that’s really special.
“I’m borderline part of the furniture and I love every single person that comes through the door. I’m blessed every day that I get an opportunity to be inside these four walls and be part of the first for everything for this club.
“I think we’ve learned a lot of lessons as a club this season. What we’ve been able to accomplish dealing with some adversity this year will be important for us going forward.
“This is group is dedicated to what we want to achieve and that's to win our first premiership. The reason you play footy is to win flags and play finals, so I’m looking forward to playing my part in making that happen.”
The SUNS vice-captain has been an air of consistency in 2026, featuring in all 23 matches and averaging 25 disposals. It’s the fifth time - a club record - in which Miller has played all possible matches in a SUNS season.
Since joining the SUNS with Pick 29 in the 2014 Draft, Miller has built an esteemed resume including Club Champion and All Australian honours in both 2021 and 2022 alongside a record four consecutive David Swallow Awards (Players’ Player).
He is fast closing in on David Swallow’s club games record and is in contention to become the first SUN to reach 250 games for the club in 2027.
“Touk epitomises what it means to be a Gold Coast SUNS player and we’re thrilled to see him commit to our club for an additional three seasons,” Gold Coast SUNS List and Recruitment Manager Kall Burns said.
“As a leader, Touk has been an integral part of our club for more than a decade, and now importantly, he will continue to play a key role in shaping our club in the years ahead.”
Miller is the latest to sign a multi-year extension with the club following recent extensions from Bailey Humphrey, Jed Walter and Jarrod Witts.
