The Expansion Cup will head to the Barossa in 2027 with the SUNS set to take on the Giants in Gather Round next season.
The AFL today locked in the fixture for the league's annual crusade to South Australia with the SUNS set to return Barossa Park for the first time since 2025.
The 2027 Gather Round will form Round 4 of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season and
coincide with school holidays across the country, with matches again played at
Adelaide Oval, Norwood Oval and Barossa Park.
Barossa Park will become the sixth venue to host a match between the SUNS and Giants, with the match also to be the first time the sides have met at Gather Round since 2024.
