Four Gold Coast SUNS Academy members have earnt All-Australian honours at the 2018 U15 School Sport Championships held in Adelaide last week.

15-year-old Giselle Davies and 14-year-old Teagan Levi were two players selected from Queensland’s female side and both had strong carnivals, showing their enthusiasm and team first mindset.

Davies spent the majority of the carnival in the ruck, putting her athletic leap and running ability on display, while Levi stood out for her attack on the ball and physicality.

Finn Brown (turning 15 in December) and Will Ashcroft (14) were two of three Queenslanders selected in the male All-Australian side.

Ashcroft, son of three-time premiership player Marcus Ashcroft, was selected as a bottom-age player after displaying his ability to run and carry the ball and high footy IQ.

His Queensland and Southport Sharks teammate Brown played a variety of roles throughout the carnival but stood out as a hard at the ball midfielder.

25 players were selected in both the male and female All-Australian sides from the week-long national competition.
